Google's next desert theme smartphone OS has been documented on video on the net. Posted in the androiddeveloper's channel on YouTube, the shakey-cam video entitled "We've been baking something" begins with a shot of a Google street sign before arriving in the car park at Google HQ.

Android 3.0 rumored hardware requirements: 1GHz CPU, 512MB RAM, 3.5 inch or higher displays with the 1280 x 760 pixel resolution available (for 4 inch and higher displays).Android 3.0/Gingerbread/Honeycomb is rumored to be more tablet friendly.

The latter specification makes us think of Android 3.0 tablets, that sound like a good idea. The UI will also be revamped, with a new feel, animated transitions and all of that natively, via the UI. Also, Android’s split into two branches will happen, with 3.0 being used on high end devices and the 2.1/2.2 versions remaining on cheap mass market handsets.

Recent footage has surfaced showcasing stereoscopic 3D gameplay for the PS3 at TGS 2009.

The Director of the Software Development Department for SCE, Hideyuki Agata stated that,

“Sony is looking to bring stereo vision to the home in 2010. We’d like to increase our content, in line with the start of 3D games in 2010. So far, we’ve wanted to give players a more natural experience by converting 2D games into 3D. Bringing stereo vision to the game allows the player to feel more depth, and the game world becomes more real.”

The footage shows gamers with the stereoscopic 3D glasses playing Wipeout HD.

While Sony went to great lengths towards preventing a repeat of the Pandora battery hack on PSPgo, they evidently forgot to patch up some existing security vulnerabilities on the software side. Mere days after the launch of the new hardware, homebrew developer FreePlay has managed to run unsigned code on it. Above is a video clip showing off his efforts in the form of a hello world proof of concept.

Forza 3 or Gran Turismo 5 the debate will go on forever. Both games look drop dead gorgeous, many may proclaim that Gran Turismo 5 edges out Forza 3 and vise versa in terms of polygon processing power. When Sega showed off the PS3 version of Bayonetta at an event in Tokyo late last month, many who attended were disappointed by the blurry graphics and surprisingly erratic frame rate when compared to the Xbox 360 version. Tatsuya Minami discusses the issue in a blog post today on the PlatinumGames blog, explaining that Sega is the company handling the PS3 port. Check out the video after the jump.

Looks like Uncharted 2 may be the closest thing to gaming Nirvana when Naughty Dog releases it October 13th. Uncharted set a very high bar for Naughty Dog to vault and it looks like they have officially knocked it out the park.

This video replicates everything from E3 with a few additions due to time and a real camera crew. Sony has been release some great tech video to show off that they have more up their sleeves than many people may think. With the recent video release of Voice Recognition and extreme zoom feature. Sony shows is showing off what they are calling Visual Library, a very cool facial recognition that allows anyone to map anything onto their faces.
